How to apply for a Marriage License
APPLICATION STEPS
Review the requirements for a marriage license.
Book an Appointment with the Clerk’s Office at clerks@pecounty.on.ca or call 613.476.2148 ext. 1020.
Complete the Marriage Licence Application Form.
Make sure to bring:
✦ The completed and signed marriage application
✦ Two pieces of valid, government issued identification for each partner (please read over the proper identification requirements)
✦ Divorce documentation, if applicable
You can apply without your partner if:
✦ Each person has signed the application
✦ The required identification is submitted for each partner

How to apply for a Certificate of Marriage
If you require a Certificate of Marriage, below are the steps to apply after your Chapel.
1.Your officiant will send the paperwork through the provincial system so you will be officially registered.
2. Once registered, mark three months from your wedding day on the calendar to apply for your Certificate of Marriage from the Service Ontario website.
3. At the three months mark, visit www.ontario.ca/page/how- get-copy-ontario-marriage-certificate-online, request the short form certificate and apply to get your certificate in the mail.

✦ Premium service (online)
5 business days including delivery by courier - $45
✦ Online: Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Debit Mastercard and Interac®
✦ In-person at 47 Sheppard Avenue East, Toronto: cash, money order, Visa, Visa Debit, Mastercard, Debit Mastercard and Interac®
