YOUR GUIDE TO A SUCCESSFUL POP-UP CHAPEL EXPERIENCE
The Pop-Up Chapel runs smoothly and effectively thanks to a process that we have created to ensure every couple receives a high-quality, consistent, and beautiful experience in our Chapels. To maintain this consistent flow and experience, we have set out specific rules and regulations to ensure the execution of your Chapel is flawless. This serves as a reminder of these guidelines agreed to in your contract and will help ensure you have a successful Chapel journey. We ask that you take a moment to read and review these rules and regulations before your Chapel experience and acknowledge that you’ve done so. It is greatly appreciated!

1. MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE DELIVERY POLICY
On Chapel day your officiant will sign your marriage license with you (you bring this) and then they mail this promptly for processing after your ceremony.
Your Pop-Up Chapel officiant will leave you with a record of solemnization following your celebration.
In Ontario, you will not be given a marriage certificate.
You may opt to apply for a marriage certificate separately as it is not automatically sent to you by the government! This is often confusing to couples, but you are considered legally married once the license gets processed, and the certificate is an additional document for your own records. A certificate is not mandatory to prove that you are legally married, but is helpful to have for social benefits or if you’ll be changing your last name.
In Ontario, you can apply to get your certificate 3 months after your wedding day, using the link here. You may be prompted for your marriage licence number, which is on the Record of Solemnization you are given on Chapel day.
If you have already applied for your marriage certificate and have not received it, you can call the Ontario Registrar's Office to check on the status at 416-325-8305 or by checking its status online here.
