On June 9th and 10th we kicked off the first Ottawa chapel at The Knox!

Say hello to one of our newest Chapel venues! The charming, yet subtly gothic Knox Venue was home to an incredible 2 day Chapel where we helped 10 couples get hitched in the beautiful town of Merrickville, Ottawa. It was so special to connect with the incredibly kind people Merrickville and also support an organization in their community.

With the help of our amazing Ottawa couples and vendors we were able to donate $3000 to The Leeds & Greenville Interval House who provide emergency shelter and advocate for abused women and their children. They provide women and children a safe environment allowing them to live violence-free lives.

The inspiration for this Chapel was to highlight the bright and romantic vibes from the space and bring it to life with a crawling organic look using whites, ivory, pinks, red and burgundy florals from Capital Florist. The simplicity of the black circle arch paired perfectly with the red lounge from After Hours Events for a bold photo op!

To the sound of Marianne Lin’s harp, our couples tied the knot with the help of our officiant, Tom Watson. To celebrate, couples and their guests toasted with Fresh Wines, Steam Whistle and Viveau. Purpleseful Popcorn and Courage Cookies light bites were enjoyed throughout the beautiful reception, as well as Kwento’s heavenly cakes. Thanks to our photographers Mary Calotes, Sarah Djafri, Emma Haidar, and videos from Films by Jinbon we captured the summery feeling and the excitement of all of our couples.
