CHAPEL RECAP: OCTOBER 14TH, 2022

October 14th, 2022…another Chapel for the books (ba dum tss!)

For our last Chapel in Vancouver in 2022 we went out with a bang, and married 10 fabulous couples at the iconic Hycroft Manor. This venues architecture and interior design is flawless, so we were excited to be back for another Chapel and to build off the natural beauty of the space.

The best way to describe this Chapel is elegant meets modern meets overgrown and dramatic and once you see the design we think you’ll agree! The palette inspiration was dark charcoal greys, white, ivory and taupes to compliment the natural wood elements in the space and really create an ethereal and vintage feel.

The ceremonies took place in the Drawing Room in front of the gorgeous detailed fireplace. A large delicated baby's breath floral install mixed with fresh white blooms was built by the incredibly talented Ecorce Florals on the fireplace and paired with a handmade vintage book page mural (now the first joke should make sense!) created by Wednesday Wedding Co., and accented by faux candles subtly glowing at the base. It was the most perfect and romantic setting for our couples to say “I do!” in front of their loved ones, with each intimate ceremony lead by Young, Hip and Married. Once each couple sealed their vows with a kiss they walked back down the aisle toward cocktail hour while being serenaded by the amazing Wesley Attew.

After the ceremony the couple and their guests celebrated during cocktail hour by toasting with refreshing wine from Backyard Vineyards and sipping on ice cold beer from Steam Whistle Beer. And of course there were delicious bites from The Lemon Square and the cutest cutting cakes from Cadeaux Bakery. There to capture all the laughs, cries and memories being made were our incredible line up of photographers including Farawayland, McCaulley Photography and Lucky Rabbit Creative. Once cocktail hour came to an end, the photographers would take each couple for their portrait session in some of the most breathtaking locations. The Green Solarium and the Terrace over looking the garden deserve an honourable mention. Those spots are to die for!

For this Chapel we had the pleasure of supporting The University Women’s Club of Vancouver and their Trust fund for Education. The (TFE) was created in 1970 to help marginalized students gain an equal standing through further education. They work to provide, scholarships, bursaries, and loans to help students at risk. We feel so proud to have donated a total of $3000 through the help of our 10 wonderful Vancouver couples!
