ANSWERING OUR TOP FAQ’s

The Pop-Up Chapel Co. is a unique concept and it can be hard to explain on paper! Over the years we have noticed that many of our couples have the same questions time and time again. Today we are going to answer the most commonly asked questions we get from couples who are looking to book a Chapel.

What happens when I arrive?

When you and your guests arrive you will be ushered to a holding area. You will wait here until the Chapel is opened to your group. In the holding space, you will meet with your coordinator who will review your processional and give you your personal flowers. You will also meet with your wedding officiant who will go over your marriage documents with you. When the Chapel is ready, your group will be ushered into the Chapel to take their seats. The ceremony will start as soon as everyone is settled.

How long will my ceremony last?

We believe that ceremonies are best kept short and sweet. At the Chapel they typically last between 15 and 20 minutes. If you choose to write your own vows, it is very important that they are no longer than 5 minutes to ensure you have time to enjoy your cocktail hour!

We don’t want to see each other/ our guests to see us before the ceremony, can we be separated?

If the venue space allows, we can keep one or both people separate from the Chapel guests. It is important to meet and prepare your documents with your officiant when arriving in the holding room. Please let us know if this is a request beforehand so we can plan for it on the day!

Can I include a cultural tradition into my Ceremony?

Absolutely! Please tell us what you would like to do beforehand so we can let your officiant know.

When do we get to see the design?

We keep the design for each Chapel a complete surprise! We may post sneak peaks on the @popupchapel.ca Instagram during the DIY process, but otherwise, you’ll have to wait until wedding day to see.

Can we bring our own vendors (cake, photographer, officiant ect.)?

During your time at the Chapel, we require that you only use the photographer and vendors included. Unfortunately outside food is not allowed to be brought into our venues for health and safety reasons. You can definitely bring your own vendors or photographer to your pre and post Chapel celebrations.

Still have burning questions? We host Q&A sessions every Friday at 1pm EST via Zoom, sign up HERE. If you are ready to book check out our upcoming Chapel dates!
