The Pop-Up Chapel team gathered the best micro-wedding venues in Toronto!

Looking for a venue for your micro-wedding? Look no further! At The Pop-Up Chapel Co., we work with the best of the best venues in Toronto and we’re ready to spill the tea on some of our favourite spots.

Find our recommendations for Toronto micro wedding venues below!

Evergreen Brick Works

This space is easily one of The Pop-Up Chapels most sought after venues. A prime venue in the east end of Toronto, Brick Works used to be a brick factory (hence the name!) who’s mission is now to create a greener Toronto. Brick Works has the most beautiful spaces for you to elope, both indoors and out! The 2 main spaces are BMO Atrium and Koerner Gardens.

BMO Atrium is a white brick delicate space with a modern vibe. It’s the perfect space for those that want something more intimate and all in one room (bar, ceremony, reception, first dances, etc). If you want a more simplistic look and feel, BMO Atrium is for you.

Koerner Gardens is a gorgeous indoor and outdoor open space with lush gardens and graffitied walls. If you want an outdoor wedding (without the risks of an outdoor wedding!), Koerner Gardens is the perfect option. The space is rustic and spacious, and while it requires more decor, once the room is ready, it will be a perfect garden oasis!

No matter what room you go with, Evergreen Brickworks is the perfect spot for your wedding photos. The natural look of the Don Valley River Park creates a beautiful scenic backdrop for all your photos. Check out the photos below to see how our amazing photographers captured the beautiful greenery and natural elements of Evergreen Brickworks!

The Henley Room

This venue just off the lake is to die for! The Henley Room is part of the Argonaut Rowing Club, and it has the most perfect panoramic lake view balcony. The main room is beaming with natural light, modern, intimate and very adaptable - whichever decor you have in mind will be a good fit at The Henley Room!

When you come into the club, you will find navy blue walls and wooden floors that match the clubs rustic vibe. The event space itself has an incredible stone fireplace that can be used as a gorgeous photo op or even as your ceremony backdrop! The water itself also acts as the perfect decor - what’s more perfect than a sunset during dinner or cocktail hour. Not to mention the trails around the venue are a great way to use the lake for your portraits.

Check out how The Pop-Up Chapel incorporated the fireplace as a stunning ceremony backdrop, and alternatively, how we created a completely separate watercolour inspired ceremony backdrop that totally popped against one of the white walls. You can also see how the venue has the perfect scenic space for your portraits!

Steam Whistle

This brewery in the heart of downtown Toronto is the perfect venue for you if you are a couple in love with the city. Steam Whistle is footsteps away from the CN Tower, Ripley’s Aquarium and The Sky Dome. The venue has two spaces that our team has held Chapels in, Pilsner Hall and Locomotive Hall.

Pilsner Hall is an incredible space with an industrial vibe, high ceilings, and big windows under the Steam Whistle sign that let in tons of natural light. The space looks out to the Toronto skyline (with the CN Tower in plain view!) and it’s the perfect sight for your portraits. This is a beautiful space that has the ability to hold a larger guest list, but could instead be used for multiple photo ops and a bigger backdrop.

Locomotive Hall is a wider space that can be explored with a bigger guest count, a dance floor, a bar, and even a dinner party. If you love the room, but don’t require all the space, no problem, you can always pipe and drape to create different sections. The great thing about Locomotive Hall is that it is incredibly adaptable.

For portraits, Steam Whistle has a beautiful outdoor patio that is a perfect blend of the venue’s rustic vibe and Toronto’s big city energy. The photos will be romantic and moody meets modern and energetic!

The Pop-Up Chapel loves creating a delicate feel to balance Steam Whistle’s wood beam and industrial look. Check out our blogs to see how we’ve transformed the space for our Chapels.
